About UtanBech Missions International

UtanBech Missions International (also known as Faithhouse Missions) is a non-denominational Christian mission organization committed to raising Christ-like disciples and advancing the Gospel among least-reached people groups in Africa.

Founded on September 30th, 1992 by Richards Chybuikem Akonam, UtanBech was born out of a divine call to reach unreached tribes in Northern Cross River State. Over the years, God has used the ministry to raise indigenous missionaries from Cross River, Benue State, and Cameroon, with the work continuing to expand into new fields.

Our ultimate burden is to see self-sustaining, Bible-believing churches planted among unreached communities across Africa.

Reaching the Least-Reached, Together

At UtanBech Missions, we believe God accomplishes His work through partnership. We work alongside local believers, indigenous missionaries, churches, volunteers, medical professionals, and ministry partners to bring holistic transformation to unreached communities.

Our Vision and Mission

Our Vision
To see Christ-like disciples raised and actively engaged in church planting among the least-reached communities in Africa.

Our Mission
To train mission-minded disciples who will train others and plant self-sustaining churches among the unreached tribes of Africa.

We exist to empower believers spiritually, socially, and practically, equipping them to transform their own communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

What We Do

To fulfill our God-given vision and mission, UtanBech Missions is actively involved in the following ministry areas:

Spiritual Empowerment
We provide deliberate and structured teaching of God’s Word, training converts in evangelism and discipleship while equipping them to reach their own people and establish local churches and fellowship groups.

Church Planting
Our church planting model focuses on training indigenous converts and sending them back to their communities as pastors, missionaries, and church planters to provide ongoing pastoral care and discipleship.

Medical Missions
In communities with little or no access to healthcare, we organize medical outreaches where volunteer doctors and health professionals provide free medical services. We are prayerfully working toward establishing primary healthcare facilities in these regions.

Care for the Aged
We minister to elderly individuals through food distribution, clothing, and medical assistance, especially those abandoned or neglected by family members.

Education
We support education through scholarships for children who cannot afford school fees. We have established a nursery and primary school at our operational headquarters and plan to replicate this model across our mission fields.

Advocacy
We collaborate with civil society organizations and stakeholders to challenge harmful cultural practices such as child marriage, child labor, and the denial of education to children.
